For several days now I have sat down at my computer to post about what is going on in this country and I haven’t been able to get any words down. Anger, bewilderment, and  sadness have clouded my thoughts.I have been left speechless…

 I have often thought it was time for Christians to prepare themselves for a heroic and public witness of faith. There is a martyrdom coming. I do not know if it will be a martyrdom of blood and death but we better be ready to stand against an unprecedented hostility. We must pray for our Bishops and Priests to continue to speak out and we must prepare for the consequences.

Everytime I get a chance to hear the news someone says, “this is the most important election of our countries history!” While I believe this  to be true I also know there is only one solution to the real problems our society is facing. God has solved problems like ours before. Not through politics, with money, job markets, media, think tanks or even conservative ideas (although these will help). God solves problems with Saints. We don’t need just one new president we need many new saints.

God is asking you to solve the problems of the country…even the problems of the world! Do not stress about this. You need not worry about plans, programs, organizations politics and big ideas. Holiness is what will change the world. God uses holy people. He needs holy people.

I am disgusted by President Obama’s actions. But a move like this was bound to happen. Darkness cannot parade around as light. We walk as children of light and children of darkness will always try to extnguish us. Bothers and Sisters let us rise against this injustice. Let us fight this growing hostility to a culture of life and a kingdom of God. Let us be Saints…

Poets and Heroes

June 28, 2010

I once read that the Great Philosopher Soren Kierkegaard said that everyone in this world is either a Poet or a Hero. The Poet’s job is to proclaim the mighty deeds of the Heroes for all generations. The Poet must take care to transmit the story in a way that is appealing and understandable. This great Philosopher also said that as Christians we are all Poets who should be proclaiming the mighty deeds of our Hero Jesus Christ.There is poetry being written through each of our lives. When we cooperate with and surrender to God’s holy will then God works his mighty deed of redemption and salvation in our hearts. He vanquishes evil and sin and rescues us from the grips of hell.

What has your hero done in your life? What is he doing? Its not just people who were liberated from drugs or sex or violence that have a poem or a story. There are poems about raging battles and there are also poems about small tiny saplings growing slowly and cautiously. These are surely different but neither poem is less beautiful.

The world needs to know Jesus. We are the only ones who will tell the world the great poem about our hero. If you do not feel a desperate urge to communicate Jesus to the world then you must ask yourself the question , “What is God doing in my life?”

We have an answer to all the worlds problems. We need to tell the world our poem about our hero Jesus Christ. We are all called to be Poets and to tell the poem that only we can. The world longs for this.

To all swift things for swiftness did I sue;
   Clung to the whistling mane of every wind.
     But whether they swept, smoothly fleet,
The long savannahs of the blue;
   Or whether, Thunder-driven,
   They clanged His chariot ‘thwart a heaven,
Plashy with flying lightnings round the spurn o’ their feet—
   Fear wist not to evade as Love wist to pursue.
       Still with unhurrying chase,
       And unperturbed pace,
   Deliberate speed, majestic instancy,
       Came on the following Feet,
       And a Voice above their beat—

Naught shelters thee who will not shelter me…

Planned Parenthood International recently released a report on “Sex, Health and Young People in the 21st Century.” The report advocates or “demands” that children as young as 10 be given extensive sex education, including an awareness of sex’s pleasures. I haven’t had a chance to read the entire 44 page report, but I did read enough to get the idea.
Stand and Deliver is absolutely nothing more than a 44 page assault on young people’s integrity and innocence and an attack on “religious institutions” that “have imposed tremendous barriers that prevent young people, particularly, from obtaining information and services related to sex and reproduction.” The report specifically names the Catholic Church and Islam as examples.
There are so many things wrong with this document that I cannot address specifics, but I will link to the document for you to read. I will say that the problem with Stand and Deliver  is not that it intends to tell children too much about sex, but that it won’t tell them enough. It frames sexual relations as a strictly physical pleasure-seeking tool. We know that there is so much more to sex than just the physical. The best way for a 10 yr old to learn the correct things about sex is for them to witness monogamous, faithful and loving marriages. Other details can be filled in later by their PARENTS. Again, sex should always be framed within faithful marriage and should be taught by parents. This is the best way and the only true way to ensure our children receive the fullness of God’s plan for their sexuality.

Planned Parenthood is an arm of Satan who was a liar and murderer from the beginning. There entire business model is based on lying and murdering. If we don’t stop them who will? Do not let them into your schools. Do not let them into your children’s lives.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

John 10:10

State of the Union

January 27, 2010

Tonight President Obama will give his State of the Union address. He will most likely talk about issues such as health care, jobs, defense and the economy. Things may look bleak for the country, but these issues aren’t the only ones  I worry about when I think about our country.

1.37 million babies (citizens) will be aborted this year. Over 50% of marriages will end in divorce. The majority of our citizens say they believe in Jesus, but the average Christian has been marginalized by sin and secularism. Many Christian parents have resolved to allow schools to teach their children about morality and sex. The homosexual lobby is one the most powerful and well-funded movements in the world, but it represents only  3% of the population and not 10% like we were previously told. Many people are deeply concerned with environmental and economic issues, but they do not give a second thought to the fact that un-Christian politicians make decisions for us with no regard for our moral and social beliefs. Secularism and consumerism runs rampant even in Christian families. Tolerance (usually of evil) has become one of the most admired virtues of our time.

President Obama will probably present some sort of plan or solution to the issues he presents. The world’s real problem is sin. The solution to the real problems of the world is faithfulness.

Pray for our politicians. Support True Conservatives, but remember that what America needs is not different social programs, not tax hikes or tax cuts. This nation and the whole world needs Saints.

“If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
